Tires for the F-150

The sting of paying for a new truck finally wore off enough to pull the trigger and get decent all-terrain tires for the F-150. Based on my analysis discussed in a previous post, Tire Size with Python and Pandas, I opted for a set of 285/70R17's, a 32.8 inch tire, up from the 265/70R17's (31.6 inches), which came on the truck. While I wanted something a little bigger, I did not want to go so big it absolutely destroyed the gas mileage.
Also, since doing the initial analysis, BFGoodrich released the third generation, the K/O3. Having run K/O's on every truck I have owned since the 90's, I went with this most recent iteration.
Although not dramatic, as you can see from the before and after photos, the F-150 does not look like it has little black doughnuts on the rims anymore.

Now, the only thing left to do is find a dirt road to properly test them on...
